AEIFOROS
Aiming at the protection of the environment and the full recovery of resources present in industrial by-products and waste in the framework of a sustainable development policy, the Management of AEIFOROS SA commits to:
- provide the necessary resources and means for the implementation of its vision, the achievement of its environmental goals, the observance of the requirements regarding its operation, the adoption of all necessary measures for the protection of the environment, the prevention of eventual pollution, as well as the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environment Management System.

Attikes Diadromes
The concession company “Attiki Odos SA” and the operation company of the motorway, “Attikes Diadromes SA”, implement – within the framework of the Environmental Management System ISO 14001 – a large recycling program for which they have been awarded an international distinction.
The program concerns waste from the operation of the offices (paper, toner, plastic etc.), electronic equipment waste (computers, monitors, etc.), electrical equipment waste (electrical appliances, lamps) and all kinds of waste resulting from the operation of the motorway itself (mineral oils, vehicles, accumulators, spare parts, aluminum, green waste, etc.).
The companies support the green mission in the joint effort for proper and complete recycling of lead-acid batteries. Indicatively, the amount of lead /acid batteries recycled last year exceeded 4,000 kg.”
Attiki Odos

As part of both the certified Environmental Management System (ΕΝ ISO 14001:2004) we have been implementing since 2014 and our comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility Program for the Environment, which commenced in 2010, we assess our environmental initiatives annually, we set targets, and we constantly adopt actions and programs that bring us a step closer to a greener operation.
Based on our Hospital’s internal regulation on waste management, we recycle batteries (Battery & Accumulator Waste) through various alternative waste management systems, while in 2015, we started recycling car and industrial batteries (lead batteries for UPS devices and gensets), actively supporting the Green Mission action, which is in tune with our priorities on such a delicate and significant issue as recycling.

INTERAMERICAN
The activities of INTERAMERICAN, as an insurance service provider, are classified as those that do not have a substantial impact on the environment. Nevertheless, the company, cognizant of its responsibility, is applying a continuous process for recording, monitoring and attempting to improve its environmental footprint. The participation of INTERAMERICAN in the ‘Green Mission’ initiative underscores its commitment to sustainable growth with respects towards people, the environment and public health.
It is noted that INTERAMERICAN has been a member of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEPFI) since 2006, is a founding member of the UNEPFI Principles for Sustainable Insurance (2012) and complies with the mandates of the UN Global Compact – among its other principles – concerning the environment.
More specifically, through its participation in ‘Green Mission’, INTERAMERICAN is joining the mission for the proper recycling of batteries in a transparent and certified manner, given that the company concentrates a substantial quantity of batteries through replacements in its corporate fleet of vehicles, and takes great interest in the impeccable recycling management of lead – acid waste.
MEGA S.A
Actions of Care – Environment
In the “heart” of our strategy for sustainable development is our commitment to produce our products with the least possible environmental impact.
We plan, invest and work systematically to make the operation of our industrial unit more environmentally friendly.
Our goals are primarily focused on energy savings, on responsible use of natural resources and on the integration of sustainable development principles to these decisions and our procedures. The implementation of this project is supported by the usage of motors with inventers for all equipment and the installation of SYN adjustment balance system for the thermal losses of electrical current, while the whole electricity consumed is being recorded.
In line with the existing legislation, MEGA has been using the collecting and recycling packaging system, while it follows a series of environmental actions, such as recycling of all the materials, waste sorting in order to ensure less waste ending up to landfill, separating waste, use of specific filters preventing air pollution, waste water treatment plant and collaboration with certified companies for collection, transportation, treatment and final disposal of our soil and liquid waste.
Additionally, MEGA is certified by the internationally recognized environmental System ISO 14001.
MEGA strongly supports the environmental action of Green Mission, for the correct and complete recycling of lead-acid batteries.
NOVA
The protection of environment has been placed in the very heart of Nova’s Social Responsibility strategy. In this respect, the company has put forward recycling paper, plastic, aluminum, lamps and batteries initiatives in collaboration with accredited partners. What is more, the out of use electronic equipment is gathered at Nova’s headquarters to thereafter go destroyed or recycled, again, with the aid of accredited partners. Qualified contractors collect and recycle the used lubricant oils left from the power generator’s maintenance. Nova sees its participation in the ‘Green Mission’ initiative as an opportunity to join forces with other companies and organizations in a common effort to protect the environment.
RiverWeb
Located in Chryssoupolis, Kavala, RiverWeb is a Greek company that trades in IT industry. We do business with enterprises, freelancers, individuals and departments of the public sector all over Northern Greece, providing immediate and effective IT solutions.
Our decision to join Green Mission, a Sunlight Recycling initiative, aligns with the environmental policy of our company. Knowing well the negative effects of this particular waste on both the environment and human health, we recycle lead-acid batteries from UPS and do our best to sensitize people to act accordingly.
